If you want to travel on the world's longest bus, you have to go to Latin America. The world's longest bus service runs from Rio de Janeiro, on the Atlantic coast of Brazil, to Lima, on the Pacific coast of Peru. This great service, which began in 2016, is now operated by the Brazilian company Trans Acreana. They make one trip a week. They use Marcopolo Paradiso G7 1800 DD double-decker buses built on Volvo chassis. To complete this journey, you have to travel about 6,300 kilometers (about 3,920 miles). Starting from Rio de Janeiro, traveling through the Amazon rainforest, crossing the Great Andes mountain range, entering Peru, and ending in Lima, the journey takes about five days (about 102 hours).
