The German Autobahn of Speed
It is said that driving on the German Autobahn is a dream of every car enthusiast. But do you know what this Autobahn is? Autobahn is the name given to the high-speed motorway system in Germany. The German Autobahn is one of the largest high-speed road networks in the world, with a length of more than 13,0000 kilometers throughout the country. In many parts of it, there is no legal speed limit, but in some areas there is a mandatory speed limit of 120–130 km/h. You can only drive without speed limits in “no speed limit zones”. High-quality road construction, wide lanes, and strict driving rules are all factors that set the Autobahn apart. Therefore, traffic accidents are lower here than in other countries in Europe, and the first Autobahn was built in the 1930s. It was later expanded on a large scale after World War II. Today, the Autobahn plays a major role in serving as the mainstay of Germany's industry and freight movement.
